Queen Marie (マリー Marii ) is the Queen of France and wife of Louis XV. She carries around a talking skull named Belle. She is usually a quiet and calm woman, holding a fascination with the Psalms and later revealed to even wield power over them.
She is also very motherly as she tends to Belle, does her hair and gave her a nice dress as well as talk to her. She also confronts lady Pompadour about her sin of murdering her child, while Pompadour had an affair with Marie's husband, she was more upset about how she would take her own child's life and states "Your delicate hands are stained and tainted with sin, a sin which, as a mother, I cannot forgive." and when lady Pompadour refuses to leave the palace, Marie reveals Belle's skull, to Pompadour's horror, and leaves her and Belle alone so they can talk.
Creation and ConceptionEdit
Her name is listed as "Marie Leszczynska" in the series' ending video, and she is loosely based on Maria Leszczyńska.
